This website features resources that support Nuu-Chah-Nulth language learners. Nuu-Chah-Nulth is the language of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth people (Nuučaan̓ułʔatḥ, formerly called Nootka) who live on the west coast of Vancouver Island from Kyuquot Sound in the north to Barkley Sound in the south.

Nuu-Chah-Nulth is a highly endangered language on the verge of extinction. There are fewer than 140 fluent speakers left, with most speakers over the age of 60.

This site includes a selection of language tools, resources, and lessons to assist Nuu-Chah-Nulth language learners on their journey to reconnect with and master the language.
